Had a pretty good turn-out to camp in the cold this past weekend.  Both nights went into the 20″s with clear skies and plenty of frost.  You’d be surprised just how much wood you have to burn overnight to stay warm.  The deer were pacing around, wanting their field back, and the coyotes sang half the night.   Everybody got a little range time.    Topics discussed were med-kits, land-nav, secure comms, and a little of unit history (this starts our eighth year).  Learned that FTX can also stand for Field Training Experiment.
